Informationen
Adds 8 stereo AES/EBU inputs and outputs (16 channels in/out total) via AES59 25-pin D-type, fully integrated into the routing grid. Available factory-fitted or as a retrofit to the RM-X-64-DNT or the RM-X-64-RAV.
This expansion module provides eight stereo AES/EBU digital audio inputs and eight stereo outputs (16 channels in and 16 channels out) via a 25-pin D-type connector, using the AES59 digital pinout for straightforward integration into professional broadcast and audio systems.
Once installed, all inputs and outputs are available within the unit’s internal routing grid, accessible via the integrated web server. This enables flexible routing and control of digital audio signals, allowing seamless incorporation into existing workflows.
The module can be supplied factory-fitted or retrofitted in the field, with a straightforward disassembly and reassembly process. It connects directly to the main board using the supplied 4-pin power cable and 30-pin FFC audio/control cable, ensuring a reliable installation. This card extends digital connectivity while maintaining clean signal handling and robust performance.

Typical Applications
Ideal for use in outside broadcast (OB) vehicles, where space is limited and reliable, high-density digital audio routing is essential. This module enables multiple AES/EBU stereo pairs to be consolidated into a single, compact monitoring and control system, supporting efficient management of mission-critical audio workflows. It is also well suited to Master Control Room (MCR) environments, where centralised handling of digital audio signals is required for playout, monitoring, and compliance operations. In this role, it provides flexible routing of multiple AES/EBU sources, supporting accurate signal management, coordination of transmission feeds, and overall system integrity within the broadcast chain.
